MPPEB stands for Madhya Pradesh Professional Education Board. Or its another name is 'Vyapam'. Vyapam Stands for Vyavasayik Pariksha Mandal. This professional educational board or vyavsayik pariksha mandal is in news owing scams. Scam at first broke into 2013 when separate FIR's filed in various Police stations of Madhya Pradesh about impersonation in PMT exam conducted by MPPEB. At first it was known as PMT scam when first arrest was made in this regard, an alleged MBBS Jagdish Sagar. Sagar admitted to producing 100-150 MBBS doctors. STF (Special Task Force) took over the investigation on August 26,2013. STF initially found 438 students involved in it but after the arrest of Examination Controller of MPPEB, Pankaj Trivedi, the no. further raised to 876.Madhya Pradesh High Court has constituted SIT(Special Investigation Team) under former High Court Judge Chandresh Bushan to monitor the investigation by STF. 25 accused in this case has been died and some of these deaths are under mysterious circumstances.
